Sharon Scott
Evidence-Based Training Methods with Dr. Sharon Scott, Virginia Tech

Evidence-based training methodology is essential in enhancing the transfer of learning. This ASTD program will introduce training professionals to the value of evidence-based training methods. When we read that over $100 billion dollars annually is spent on workplace learning (training and development) and it is reported that the estimated change in behavior from participating in a program is 10-30%, it raises the question  "Are we doing all we can in instructional system design to support the transfer of learning?"

Objectives
Upon this completion of this thirty minute session, participants will be able to:

  • Define evidence based training methods
  • Understand the value of evidence-based methodology in our profession
  • Identify training architecture structures and appropriate uses

Come prepared to work…and learn.
